This is a poem a friend of mine wrote on her struggle with cancer, 
she is a strong woman beyond words. I've known her for a while
now and never has she appeared weak, even when the situation 
would have brought most people to their knees, she stood tall and 
never let anything defeat her. I admire her strength, her positivity 
and how she doesn't let something like this affect who she is . In her 
I see grace, (even though she is a klutz and she will agree with me there)
dignity, a strength like no other, and above all, love inside her. She is the 
most amazing woman I've met in a long time. Her kind natured heart does get
broken once in a while, but still she perseveres. She is one of my closest friends, 
and at one time we were together, I love her still, but I know she is doing what she 
needs to in order to better her health and her mind. She is a mother, a daughter, a friend, 
a sister, and a model. She has quirks, she has weirdness and beauty. That is what makes 
her stand apart from all the rest. Her unique view on life blasts her out of this orbit with 
the rest of us. May her cure work, and she continue to wow the pants off of everyone 
for many many years to come.

My thoughts are this :

 

You can be beautiful, and have an ugly personality and I would not find you attractive. You can be unattractive according to society and have a wonderful, beautiful personality and you would be more attractive to me than an aesthetically beautiful person. It is all in the attitude of the person. If you act as a beautiful human being, you are almost guaranteed to find love, even though you might not be what society believes is attractive. My beliefs in society is this. FUCK society. They cannot tell you how to look, act, or dress. I say , believe in yourself, trust your instincts and live beautiful.

Let's Remember...

Let's take a moment to reflect. All the victims ( who 

either lost their lives, their loved ones, or their sense 

of safety) Today it has been 11 years. We still 

remember, we still love and miss each and every life 

lost that day. Our way of life changed that day. We did 

not just let it destroy us as a country, we let it bring 

us together. Even if it were only for a little while. 

Remember the United We Stand memorabilia? The 

flags that started showing up in our yards, on our 

cars, how we felt that day... The fear, the loss, the 

anger.. We still feel it today ! We still fear more lives 

being lost in another attack, we still feel the loss of 

loved ones, and we are still angry at the horrible act 

that was done to us, and caused the loss of so many 

lives. The lost WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Even 

after all these years. WE REMEMBER! To all those 

whose lives were lost, and those who lost somebody, 

I take this moment of silence right now for you, in 

honor, pride, and love. May you one day find peace 

within your heart... if you have not yet, and never.
